How it works

Pick a start and end date and the tool counts how many weekdays fall between them, skipping every Saturday and Sunday, using the well-tested date-fns library. It also shows the total calendar days and the number of weekend days for comparison. Business-day counts matter for delivery estimates, payment terms, and project deadlines that run on a Monday-to-Friday schedule. Public holidays vary by country and are not subtracted. All date math runs locally in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does it account for public holidays?

No. It excludes only Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays differ by country and region, so they are not subtracted automatically — subtract any that fall in your range manually.

Are the start and end dates included?

The count covers the days between the two dates inclusive of working days in that span. Pick the exact start and end and the tool reports the weekdays within the interval.

What counts as a business day?

Any Monday through Friday. The tool treats every weekday as a working day regardless of holidays, since those vary by location.
