How it works

A fixed corpus of classical Latin words drawn from Cicero's De Finibus is shuffled and assembled into the requested unit count. Sentences are 5–15 words; paragraphs are 4–8 sentences. The traditional opening "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit" is prepended when the toggle is on. Punctuation and capitalisation match standard typesetter usage. Generation is deterministic per click only — every press gives a fresh sample.

Frequently asked questions

Why use Lorem Ipsum and not English filler?

Latin-looking text has a similar letter distribution to English without the brain auto-reading the words. That keeps the focus on layout, not content.

Are the sentences grammatical Latin?

No. The words are real but the order is randomised. It is intentionally nonsensical filler.

Why does turning off "start with Lorem Ipsum" still produce similar output?

The same word pool is used; only the fixed opening clause changes. Subsequent sentences are randomised either way.

Does it support HTML tags?
