How it works

Enter the price and size (weight, volume, or count) of two or more products and the tool divides price by size to get each item's unit price, then highlights the cheapest per unit. Bulk packs are not always the better deal, and different package sizes make shelf prices hard to compare — unit price cuts through that. Currency formatting is configurable and all calculation runs locally in your browser.

unit price = price / quantity

Common use cases

  • Deciding whether the big pack is really cheaper at the store.
  • Comparing two brands sold in different sizes.
  • Checking price per 100g across similar products.

Frequently asked questions

What units can I compare?

Any consistent unit — kilograms, litres, ounces, or item count — as long as you use the same unit for every product you compare. The tool just divides price by the quantity you enter.

How many products can I compare?

You can add several rows and the tool ranks them, marking the lowest unit price as the best value.

Does a lower unit price always mean better?

For pure value, yes, but consider whether you will use the larger quantity before it expires. The tool shows the math; the judgment is yours.
